MWC Process

Choices

Choosing the right remodeler can be as challenging as the project itself.

  • Who can give me the best deal?
  • Does Company X have experience building kitchen additions or outdoor spaces?
  • And what about permits, insurance, and compliance?

These are all valid questions, but perhaps the most important question - one you should be asking when choosing to renovate is:

Will the remodeler be able to guide me through all the phases of the process, including design?

Please review the steps we use in our process to understand how we can help you find the right remodeler for you.

Step 1
Project Overview Form

The Project Overview form helps determine the type, size, and scope of your construction or remodeling project to gather as much information as possible to prepare for the initial site visit.

Step 2
Initial Site Visit

We offer a no-charge, no-obligation site visit. During this 1-2 hour meeting we will work together to make sketches, take pictures and discuss your project in depth, making sure we understand your needs, style, accessories, existing systems etc.

Step 3
Rough Estimate

After our initial meeting, we will provide a detailed initial estimate that includes a line item breakdown for your project. This estimate will be the template we use going forward.

Step 4
Pre-Construction/ Planning Phase

In the pre-construction/planning phase we will discuss construction start date, construction end date, production schedule and working hours, how to prepare your home for the remodel, parking for our crew, home security and project safety, children and pets and their access to the construction area, dust and damage control, location of debris, location of portable restroom and location of job sign and document box. Please feel free to ask any questions at any time. We are always here to help.

Step 5
Design Phase

When you accept the rough estimate and sign a Letter of Intent, you'll have some fun working with our design team. Depending on the complexity of your project, we can provide simple sketches or detailed computer generated drawings of your project. Together we will sign a detailed contract outlining the rights and responsibilities of both parties to be used as a road map to take us to a successful completion of the project.

Step 6
Construction Phase

The construction phase is very exciting. You will begin to see the transformation of idea to reality of your home. We make every effort to ensure your experience is as pleasant, comfortable and rewarding as possible. For us, the quality of the experience is as important as the quality of the final product.

Step 7
Project Completion

Our goal is to see your project through to perfection. When we are nearing the end of the project, we will "walk through"  the project with you to review our work and answer questions you may have. We will develop a "punch list" of items to completed before the project is finalized.

Mountain West Construction has a reputation for customer satisfaction. We comply with NARI and NHBA standards. Our goal is your satisfaction, from foundation to finish!
